• Playable female character has short hair (either from the start or her hair is cut at some point)

• Someone is voicing or playing a race they are most certainly not
• A female character (usually the playable one) gets held down in a Moment of Danger or otherwise brutalized
• Plot holes galore
• Most, if not all, of the fat/heavyset men are evil
• Some sort of weird, sexy dancing scene
• Trauma of losing a child or close family member induced alcoholism in an important character
• Indie cartoons from the real world play on in-game TVs
• “This is not how mental health works”
• Supernatural elements (mostly removed)
• Asshole cop character, may or may not be the partner
